The system is used for strategic surveillance and commercial remote sensing applications. The Applanix POS AV 610 integrates precision survey-grade Global Positioning System (GPS) with high-end inertial technology to produce detailed, real-time and post-processed complex terrain data for topographic imaging and digital surface models. The system was specifically designed for the Geospatial community and a variety of tasks such as visual spatial analysis, environmental monitoring, glacier flow mapping, and three-dimensional city modeling.
