Plans for DigitalGlobe Asia, a sales and support office to be located in Singapore, have been announced to benefit customers in Asia by allowing for in-region sales and technical support.
DigitalGlobe, a leader in high-resolution commercial satellite imagery, announced plans for DigitalGlobe Asia, a sales and support office to be located in Singapore. DigitalGlobe Asia will benefit customers in Asia by allowing for in-region sales and technical support, resulting in quicker turnaround and localized business knowledge. The announcement was made during the DigitalGlobe Business Partner Meeting in Singapore on February 24, 2004.
In a mutually beneficial change to the distribution strategy for Asia, DigitalGlobe and Hitachi Software, DigitalGlobe's Master Distributor for Asia, worked together to allow DigitalGlobe Asia non-exclusive distribution of QuickBird imagery throughout Asia, with the exception of Japan, which remains exclusive to Hitachi Software. As a result of this change, DigitalGlobe will be able to work directly with existing and new business partners in Asia outside of Japan.
