Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions, in collaboration with the Association of Geographic Information Laboratories for Europe (AGILE), announced a GeoMedia research grant opportunity for AGILE members. The grant is open to any member using or intending to use Intergraph's GeoMedia technology as the foundation for geographic information systems (GIS) research. The GeoMedia research grant will award $5,000 (U.S.) cash funding and a $50,000 software donation in recognition of an exceptional and innovative applied research proposal submitted by an AGILE member in an effort to further the implementation and evolution of GIS.
The grant recipient will be announced at the organization's sixth annual Conference on Geographic Information Science to be held April 24-26 in Lyon, France. Established to promote innovative geographic information science research at the European level, AGILE includes members based in academic institutions and in other key geographic information research centers. All AGILE members are encouraged to submit a research proposal to email@example.com. A distinguished panel of judges consisting of both AGILE and Intergraph executives will judge the submissions. Applications will be accepted through Friday, April 19.
