John Copple, CEO of Sanborn, a provider of geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial solutions, named William Aymard vice president of international business development and sales. In this newly created position, Aymard will be responsible for developing relationships with international clients and creating a global presence for Sanborn.
A twenty-year industry veteran, Aymard comes to Sanborn from Space Imaging in Denver, where he served as director of sales for Latin America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Prior to that, he was president of PCI Geomatica de Mexico S.A. de C.V., based in Mexico City, Mexico, and held leadership positions in Canadian-based PCI Latin America. Additionally, he spent two years as an environmental scientist at the EPA's remote sensing lab in Las Vegas and three years as a petroleum geologist for Lagoven (formerly Exxon) in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela.
Aymard holds a bachelor of arts degree in geology from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a master of science degree in geophysics, geology and remote sensing from Mackay School of Mines.
