Grapher 6 is an upgrade to Golden's Grapher 2D and 3D graphing package that includes contour and 3D surface plots.

Golden Software Inc. released Grapher 6, an upgrade to its Grapher 2D and 3D graphing package that includes contour and 3D surface plots. Users can create contours or a 3D surface from any XYZ data file, an existing Surfer grid file or a USGS DEM file. Users can color-fill the plots, overlay contours on surface plots, or combine them with other graph types to ef-fectively present their 3D data. Two other powerful up-grades to Grapher 6 are the ability to automatically create confidence intervals on line/scatter plots and create 2D vector plots. Users can select any confidence interval they want and display it automatically on the graph. Multiple confidence intervals can also be shown. The new vector plots display vectors of the data using an XY starting position and either magnitude and direction or an XY ending position. The vectors are drawn using default arrow and line styles, which can be changed to fit the user's desired display. Grapher 6 is fully compatible with other software. It imports and exports data files in all popular formats, and its functionality can be integrated with any ActiveX Automation-compatible software. Visual Basic, C++ and Perl scripts can be used to call Grapher to automate repetitive functions. (Golden Software, Golden, Colo.)
