Applanix announced that JUPEM, the government agency responsible for all topographic mapping in Malaysia, has purchased its industry-leading POS AV 510 (Position and Orientation System - Airborne Vehicles). The organization's Department of Surveying and Mapping Malaysia (DSMM) will integrate the POS AV with its RC30 aerial camera system to generate accurate geospatial data.
The Applanix POS AV is an integrated inertial position and orientation system specifically designed to provide direct georeferencing data for all types of airborne sensors. The system integrates precision GPS with inertial technology to provide real-time and post-processed information for aerial cameras, LIDAR systems, imaging scanners, and Synthetic Aperture Radar.
