IQGeo, a provider of geospatial software for the telecom and utility industries, is supporting Stadtwerke Sindelfingen on its digital transformation journey with the integration of IQGeo’s mobile-first, geospatial software to automate and optimize field data capture across its entire utility network.

IQGeo’s geospatial software platform reduces the need for manual data collection and integrates with a wide range of IoT sensing devices to provide a real-time view of Stadtwerke Sindelfingen’s electricity, gas, water, district heating and telecommunication networks.  With IQGeo’s mobile software, field engineers have the intelligence they need to complete maintenance and construction activities and can capture as-built information, significantly improving the quality of network data.  By integrating with multiple data sources used by the utility, including Oracle Spatial, Bentley GIS, and QGIS, IQGeo enables office and field users to access real-time information from one common browser-based interface.

The Stadtwerke Sindelfingen deployment of IQGeo’s Capture product will manage the planning of house connections, collect construction as-built, red-lining, and data correction details from staff and contractors in the field, and update GIS and engineering systems.  Using their mobile devices, technicians can record and submit changes in the field with IQGeo’s browser-based interface, and the office team can review and approve field updates.
