Michael Baker Wins US Navy Civil Engineering Services Contract
Infrastructure Design and Build From Airfields to Wastewater
Michael Baker International has secured a five-year contract worth up to $99 million from the US Navy to provide civil engineering services to help improve the readiness of the Navy and Marine Corps. The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract will support projects at various government installations located in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW) Area of Responsibility. Michael Baker will facilitate infrastructure at the installations in California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah. The company will provide services in support of improvement projects such as new construction, repair and renovation of wet utility systems, airfield pavement such as runways, taxiways and aprons, roads and paving, as well as bridges. The contract will also cover other projects such as entry gates/control points, outdoor recreational fields, combat training ranges, erosion control, stormwater management, and low impact development design.
