The Bad Elf® GNSS Surveyor (BE---GPS---3300) brings affordable sub-meter GNSS capability to Apple’s iOS devices. The GNSS Surveyor supports GPS, GLONASS, and QZSS constellations with SBAS (EGNOS, WAAS, and MSAS). Out of the box, this unit delivers high precision GNSS <1m with SBAS+PPP and is capable of 20 to 50 cm via apps that provide post processing of the raw satellite data. Time to achieve stationary sub-meter accuracy can vary by location and conditions, but can be achieved in as little as 5 minutes. Officially licensed by Apple for use with the iPod touch, iPhone, iPad and iPad mini, the Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor also features USB connectivity to a PC or Mac to stream data to legacy applications. Up to 200 hours of standard data logs can be accessed through USB file system mounting similar to typical thumb drives. An internal barometric sensor enables calibration to known elevations or atmospheric pressures to obtain barometric altitude as well as GPS altitude. The unit has more than 24-hour battery life.
