Propeller’s PPK solution utilizes AeroPoints for ground control and the DJI’s Phantom 4 RTK drone to provide survey-grade results. The real-time kinematic (RTK) processing on the drone records GPS information and geotags images as they’re captured during flight. The GPS location is recorded for the photo center. Each AeroPoint is a portable, reusable ground control point (GCP) that repeatedly records positioning data. A standard set of 10 AeroPoints can be placed around a survey area in minutes. AeroPoints only need to be activated for 45 minutes for the built-in GNSS to record accurate data. They work as a set of 10 units, correcting against each other for precise results.
