Mapper II, Yellowscan Vx LiDAR Systems Revealed
Designed for long-range surveys, 3D modeling under vegetation
YellowScan is introducing two next-generation LiDAR systems for surveyors and engineers. The Mapper II and Yellowscan Vx can be mounted on any drone for short-time data processing.
The new laser scanning systems complete the "Just press the Yellow Button" product line, which also includes the YellowScan Surveyor drone LiDAR system and LiveStation real-time in-flight LiDAR monitoring kit.
The YellowScan Vx is designed for long-range surveys that call for advanced accuracy and precision. Its maximum flight altitude is 100 meters and its accuracy range is 2.5 to 5 centimeters, depending on IMU option. Maximum swath is 400 meters and the system weights 2.5 to 3 kilograms.
The Mapper II is an upgraded version of the YellowScan Mapper with streamlined direct georeferencing workflow. It is particularly useful for 3D modeling in areas under vegetation. The unit weighs 2.1 kilograms, its maximum altitude is 75 meters and its maximum swath is 15 meters.
For the IMU, YellowScan worked with Applanix. The integrated GNSS-Inertial OEM solutions combined with YellowScan software are designed to improve the productivity of LiDAR acquisition by eliminating GCPs and streamlining data processing.
