senseFly, Maptek Bringing Drone Tech to Mining
Maptek expects partnership to improve in-depth modeling in mining applications
senseFly is teaming up with Maptek by signing a new commercial agreement that enables Maptek to offer its customers a full, end-to-end data collection and analysis solution. Under the terms of the agreement, Maptek will begin providing its customers with senseFly’s professional mapping and inspection drones alongside its popular I-Site Studio 3D modeling software.
“By combining a senseFly UAV with our I-Site Studio 3D modeling software, customers in the mining industry now have a powerful solution that is driven by not only survey requirements, but the in-depth modeling, change detection and data output requirements demanded by mining professionals,” says Todd Packebush, Maptek’s director of I-Site sales/business development.
Maptek and senseFly’s agreement will roll out immediately across North America. Worldwide expansion of the deal is expected to follow soon thereafter.
