The U.S. Institute of Building Documentation (USIBD) is holding its second annual symposium, "Discovering the Built Environment," Oct. 16 and 17 at the Hyatt Regency, Atlanta. The institute is now accepting abstracts and has extended the submission deadline to July 22.
This symposium brings together professionals from all corners of the building documentation industry in a day of quick fire sessions from fellow professionals. The conference will immediately precede BIMForum in the same venue.
Building documentation stakeholder areas of specialty that will bring value to the symposium include: architecture, engineering, surveying, heritage, contracting, construction management, building ownership, education, manufacturing, the media, and hardware and software development. Presentations will be live and last 20 minutes, including Q&A.
Selected abstracts will be confirmed by Aug. 1. Conference registration will be included for all presenters. Presenters are responsible for their own travel and lodging.
