Journal-news.net: GERRARDSTOWN - Local history buffs might want to schedule their Wednesday morning so that they can visit local land surveyor, P. Duane "Doc" Brown's office at Marsh & Legge in Winchester where he will be available for autographs after 9 a.m.

"Just joking," Brown laughed as he reflected on the opportunity to take part in an upcoming History Channel special which airs at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Brown belongs to the Surveyors Historical Society, which holds their annual "Rendezvous" in different locations each year. Last year's rendezvous was held in Cowen, and rumors were flying that a film crew was attending the annual convention to film for an upcoming special to be featured on the History Channel. ...
