Being retired I have time to stop and chat with surveyors I see along the road. Today I met a fella with a reflectorless robotic TS doing a Land Survey for a small house lot.He located some real property evidence with a prism pole using a single Direct observation only.By definition one does not have a measurement with a single direct observation.So why is it that so many so-called surveyors think that they have made a measurement when they do not have data they includes all the attributes of a measurement;i.e. mean,std.dev.,std.dev.of mean,etc.,etc.,etc.????????????????
