Sokkia Series30R Now Comes with Bluetooth Wireless Communication and SFX Internet Data Transmission Functions

January 25, 2006

SOKKIA is pleased to announce that SOKKIA Series30R, the most versatile and rugged Reflectorless Total Station series, now incorporates communication functions designed to increase work efficiency and boost convenience for the user customers.

The Bluetooth wireless communication function is now available for Series30R as a factory option to provide cable-free communication with data collectors (via integrated Bluetooth technology). The SFX (Sokkia Field-info Xpress) function, fitted as standard, enables data transfer via the Internet using mobile phones. As Series30R's Bluetooth wireless communications module has a dial-up function, SFX can be used without cables if the mobile phone also incorporates Bluetooth technology.

Furthermore, this latest version of Series30R is equipped with enhanced surveying programs. New functions have been added, including Set-Out Arc, Intersections, Traverse Adjustment, Sea Level Correction, and a number of enhancements to existing applications.

With its robust IP66 level of dust and water resistance, outstanding distance measuring capabilities of survey-grade accuracy +/-(3+2 ppm x D)mm from 30 cm to 350 m (Class 3R models), and field-proven ease of operation, Sokkia Series30R rightfully claims the title of the world's best reflectorless total station series.
