Trimble Introduces the 3300 Total Station

December 1, 2001
Trimble introduced the 3300 Total Station with Direct Reflex (DR) technology. The 3300 Direct Reflex can be used as a stand-alone measuring and stakeout instrument for data capture and field computations without a prism. It measures objects up to 100 meters away without special accessories and measurement techniques and can take accurate measurements in mines and on rock faces. It is a self-contained system with a data collector, operating cable-free from the same built-in battery. All models are shipped as standard with the Terramodel Field Data Module, which can download observation data from 3300 Direct Reflex and automatically coordinates points in 3D. It displays data graphically and drafting, using feature code attributes and providing the interface to CAD and design packages.(Trimble, Sunnyvale, Calif.)
