Prosurv Pocket Quads VGA

November 1, 2005

Prosurv LLC released Pocket Quads VGA. Pocket Quads VGA is topo map viewing software for the pocket PC. Pocket Quads VGA offers four times the viewing area of a typical pocket PC, which displays images at 96 dpi on a 240 x 320 screen. Pocket Quads VGA takes advantage of new high-resolution screens capable of displaying 192 dpi, allowing the user to view images at full VGA (480 x 640 pixels). A Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 2003SE (Second Edition) and VGA capability is required. Pocket Quads VGA auto-loads, auto-centers and auto-tracks topo maps in real-time based on the user’s current GPS position. Pocket Quads VGA software allows the user to switch between 1:24,000, 1:100,000, and 1:250,000 scale maps on-the-fly.  The software also offers pan, zoom, import, export and storing of points, annotation and lines to a job file. Pocket Quads VGA supports all NAD83 State Plane and UTM Coordinate zones. (Prosurv, Clark, Wyo.)
