William S. "Sam" Carr Jr., PE, GC of Consul-Tech, was voted Chairman of the Board of Zoning Adjustment and Appeals for the town of Oakland, Fla., on Thursday, December 4. Carr has 22 years of experience in private land development and construction management in the central Florida area, and currently serves as vice president and director of engineering for Consul-Tech Development Services Inc.

The Board of Zoning Adjustment and Appeals is a quasi-judicial board that meets monthly to review applications for variances from the town's zoning code. General discussion topics consist of dimensional variances and appeals of determinations by the town planner.
