Kodak to Add Atlanta Metro Area Imagery 10.03.2002

Eastman Kodak Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Kodak Global Imaging Inc., announced it will update its aerial imagery archive of the Atlanta, Georgia area to add to its Kodak Citipix aerial imagery portfolio, one of the largest databases of high-resolution, color aerial imagery in the world. Kodak Citipix imagery is available on-line at www.kodak.com/go/earthimaging or through authorized resellers of Kodak products.

The Atlanta Metro area consists of a 13-county area surrounding Metropolitan Atlanta, including Cherokee, Forsyth, Fulton, Cobb, Paulding, Gwinnett, Douglas, DeKalb, Rockdale, Henry, Clayton, Fayette, Cowetta Counties. Total coverage will be approximately 5000 square miles.

Beginning in February 2003, customers, including county and state agencies will be able to use the new, six-inch ground resolution aerial imagery for applications such as planning and development, tax assessment, environmental impact studies and homeland defense. The orthorectified imagery meets NMAS 1:1200 specifications for accuracy. And all aerial imagery is shot using Kodak Aerocolor film. Citipix imagery currently includes over 60 Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA) in the US. Citipix imagery is available as orthorectified digital mosaic images at both 6-inch and 12-inch ground resolution. Imagery content can be delivered to customers in a variety of options including; Internet, DVD/CD, high-density tape, and popular hardcopy print formats.
