Trimble introduced the GIS TSCe field device, its next generation computing platform for mapping and Geographic Information System professionals. The TSCe is a rugged and powerful Windows CE device that represents the new industry standard for field computing. Its large, touch-screen display allows users to perform data collection and maintenance tasks quickly and accurately.

Available with Trimble’s GPS Pathfinder systems, the TSCe field device comes with the new TerraSync software version 2.10.

The TSCe field device’s large graphic display and generous memory enables users to take raster maps, such as aerial photographs and satellite images, into the field for visual verification of their data. The unique front-lit, color screen makes viewing data effortless in any weather conditions, even bright sunlight.

Trimble’s GIS TSCe has 64 MB of RAM and a 200 MHZ processor, making loading and displaying large color background image files quick and easy. With a rechargeable battery providing 30 hours of continuous use and 128 MB of Flash memory users are able to collect data for several field sessions without the need to return to the office to download or recharge.
