Exhibition Floor for GITA's Annual Conference 28 Passes Halfway-Full Mark 11.17.04

November 17, 2004
The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) announced that the exhibit floor for its Annual Conference 28 is nearly two-thirds sold out.

With more than 15 weeks to go before the event, set for March 6-9, 2005, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, a total of 58 percent of available exhibit space has been assigned to exhibitors.

GITA's Annual Conference 28, themed Crossing Boundaries, is expected to draw over 3,000 attendees to the Colorado Convention Center. In addition to the exhibition floor, Annual Conference 28 will include more than 200 presenters on a wide variety of GIS-related topics, a dozen seminars, two panel discussions, and user forums.

The 100,000-square-foot exhibit floor will feature the very latest innovations in geospatial information technology and services from what could turn out to be, as the opening date of the conference nears, over 150 vendors.

The exhibit floor for GITA's Annual Conference 28 has been developed to satisfy attendees from both the vendor and user perspectives. Over 80 percent of GITA's Annual Conference user attendees have purchasing power for their organizations, and the conference is returning to the location at which, in 2000, the association set a record for overall attendance. Many industry observers are predicting another strong turnout for the upcoming event because of the prominence of Denver and Colorado's Front Range region in the geospatial business market.
