August 12, 2003
NavCom Technology Inc. announced today that Delta Data Systems Inc. has completed the integration of its Pocket DLog software for topographic survey applications with NavCom’s high-performance, high-accuracy, Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS equipment.

“With Pocket DLog, users of NavCom’s RT-series receivers now have the ability to build three dimensional topographical maps,” said NavCom GPS Product Manager Kevin Dixon. “Delta Data Systems has created a simple, accurate and easy to use ground digitizing tool with DLog, and NavCom is pleased to add this software solution option to our customers.”

Pocket DLog is a robust mapping system that uses GPS to collect feature coordinates in a GIS digitizing process. This is a process through which geo-referenced objects are created and attributed as either point, line or area objects enabling the quick and accurate creation of topographical maps. Its primary fields of application are in field tiling, earth moving, mapping inland waterways, dredging and levee monitoring.
