March 9, 2005
Eagle Point announced the release of support for BricsCad as a replacement for the Eagle Point Graphics Engine. BricsCad offers Eagle Point Graphics Engine users more stability and more features.

BricsCad version 5.0 offers several key new features for Eagle Point Graphics Engine users without adding to the learning curve. DWG is BricsCad's native format and it supports reading AutoCAD 2004/2005 drawings. This makes sharing drawings with others easy. It also supports AutoLISP so; time spent customizing AutoCAD is not wasted. Other key features include true type fonts, layout tabs for paper space, support for lineweights, an object properties toolbar and support for CTB color tables, STB style tables and PC3 printer configuration files.

The upgrade to BricsCad is only available directly from Eagle Point. Direct support is available from Eagle Point to help with any issues that may arise.

In order to help people move to this new, more stable product, Eagle Point is offering some incentives to upgrade. Clients are encouraged to call for details. They may be entitled to a free upgrade to BricsCad depending on their situation.
