SOKKIA Announces New Cable-Free GPS Receiver

SOKKIA announced the latest in its history of innovative products for the surveying industry-the GSR2700 IS Fully Integrated L1/L2 System. The GSR2700 IS features the convenience of Bluetooth wireless technology for completely cable-free surveying. The system was developed in collaboration with POINT Inc. (Olathe, Kansas) and NovAtel Inc. (Calgary, Alberta, Canada).

The survey-grade, dual-frequency GPS receiver, integrated data link, Bluetooth wireless technology, antenna, memory and batteries are enclosed in a compact, rugged magnesium alloy housing, providing superior protection in the harshest of environments (IP67 rating). Its all-on-the-pole convenience and reliability will help surveyors achieve maximum efficiency and productivity for a variety of field applications.

The GSR2700 IS receiver is ideally suited to operate in a variety of modes. Offering internal memory for 500 hours of data collection, along with options for an internal UHF or GSM/GPRS radio, the GSR2700 IS is the ideal system for all RTK and post-processed GPS applications.
