Leica Announces DISTO D810 Touch

New laser distance meter features integrated camera, touch screen.

It also can verify dimensions, measure precisely and document changes by taking photos with the integrated camera.

In addition, the free app Leica DISTO sketch complements the functionality of the D810.

The DISTO D810 features a touch screen much like a smartphone, allowing users to swipe and zoom with two fingers. The touch screen also can take measurements.

With one measurement, the DISTO D810 allows users to obtain width, height, area and diameter. Two arrows in the picture mark the desired dimension, and the measured value appears in the display. An overview camera is available for large objects. Images can be downloaded to a computer via a USB interface.

The tripod adapter FTA360 provides for precise targeting with the DISTO D810 touch, making it easier to target over long distance and increasing accuracy for indirect measurements.

The Leica DISTO D810 features a measuring range up to 200 meters and a measuring accuracy of plus/minus 1 mm, according to ISO standard 16331-1.
