The Geospatial and Engineering International Conference announced its program schedule for the two-day event taking place Nov. 13-14 in Alexandria, Va.
Sessions will focus on the ability of engineering and geospatial firms to expand their services into the international market. The conference will feature organizations that finance, procure, coordinate and manage geospatial and engineering projects outside the United States. Agency and non-governmental organization officials will discuss programs, budgets and requirements for geospatial and engineering services.
"The program provides attendees with the critical insight into assistance provided by U.S. government agencies in order to begin working in the international market and to discover the clients in need of services provided by geospatial and engineering firms," said Brian Raber, Program Chair (Merrick & Company, Greenwood Village, CO). "No matter if a firm is exploring the possibility of expanding their market outside the United States or already working internationally, the program will provide business leaders knowledge on how to effectively navigate the international market.
MAPPS is the organizer of the Geospatial and Engineering International Conference, which will provide a forum for education, business development and networking. Supporting organizations are ASPRS, NSPS, URISA, the Association of American Geographers (AAG), Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT) and Global Spatial Data Infrastructure Association (GSDI). Members of those organizations receive a registration discount.
