The Michigan Society of
Professional Surveyors (MSPS) will host Jeffery N. Lucas, PLS, Esq., for two
informative presentations on Nov. 1 in Clare, Mich. In the half-day session,
“Boundary Dispute Resolution,” Lucas will explore principles of law used by the
courts when dealing with conflicts in boundaries. He’ll also address effective
ways of resolving these conflicts before they become full blown boundary
disputes with resulting litigation. The remaining half-day session, “What Went
Wrong?,” will offer a detailed study of several court decisions involving
surveyors and surveys that went awry.
Registration for the all-day event is $150 for nonmembers, $115 for members of the MSPS or MSPS Institute, or $100 for members of both the MSPS and MSPS Institute. For more information or to register, visit http://www.misps.org/index.php/events.
