TORRANCE, Calif. – Altus Positioning Systems announced that it has signed Houston-based HTS Laser & Survey as a new distributor for the company’s surveying products.

Under the distributor agreement, HTS will market and resell Altus products, including the company’s flagship APS-3 GNSS RTK receiver as well as offer product rentals, support and training.

“Altus products are highly reliable, easy to use, cost-efficient, and meet the needs of surveyors without compromise,” said Andy Holroyd, president of HTS. “The modular design of Altus’ APS-3 product allows the highest flexibility in product use to maximize the user’s return on investment. The excellent quality of Altus products adds to the strong portfolio of technology we provide to the survey market.”

“As a reputable international supplier to the onshore and offshore survey marketplace, HTS is a natural fit for our growing network of key dealers,” said Neil Vancans, CEO and president of Altus Positioning Systems.

The Altus 136-channel APS-3 is a compact, lightweight, portable GNSS RTK receiver. It is based on the high-precision Septentrio multi-frequency AsteRx2e engine. The unit is completely configurable from the data collector via Bluetooth for either base or rover operation, with the internal UHF radio or for network rover operation with the internal quad-band GSM/GPRS modem. Its removable 2-GB SD card enables plug-and-play of raw data transfer for post processing.
