According to NSPS President Bill Coleman, the former ACSM member organization (MO) presidents met on Oct. 17 to discuss member renewals and retention. They agreed that the 2012 dues notices will be sent out by the end of October to the members of the respective member organizations to collect the revenue that is necessary for the continuing functions of the organizations. Meanwhile, the legal process for unifying the organizations has begun, with an anticipated effective date of Jan. 1, 2012. “This continues to be a deliberate process, and we are moving forward,” Coleman said.
