LIVERMORE, Calif. – Ray Vallejo has been named senior vice president of operations for Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS). He was formerly the vice president of planning for Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA).

The promotion announcement was made by Joseph Noah, TPS chief operating officer.

Vallejo has extensive experience with precision agriculture technology, developing and leading all areas of operations and manufacturing to meet growth and financial objectives.

Noah said, “We have embarked on a new journey to transform TPS in general and operations specifically into an efficient organization able to meet growth and financial objectives.

“I am confident that Ray will help us achieve these objectives based on his extensive 30 years’ experience in developing and leading all areas within operations and manufacturing,” he said.

Vallejo's experience in the areas of new product introduction, manufacturing processes, supply-chain management, process and system implementation and strategic planning “will be invaluable as we continue to grow the company.”

He said, “Ray also has wide-ranging experience in machine control technology for agriculture and mining, medical diagnostic S/W, wireless solutions, telematics, computer products, broadcasting, networking, 3D graphics, data storage, consumer electronics and professional service.”

Vallejo said, “I welcome this opportunity to work in this all-important area of operations for Topcon. The short time I've been with the company has been an eye-opening experience. Topcon has the emerging technologies to continue to revolutionize the industries we serve, and I am glad to be given the opportunity to contribute to its future successes.”
