Woolpert announced that it has signed a joint marketing agreement with VisionMap, a U.S. corporation owned by VisionMap Ltd. of Tel Aviv, Israel, for the sale of MIST military mapping and reconnaissance camera systems in the U.S. Leading up to the agreement, Woolpert signed a purchase order to test and procure two MIST systems.

“We chose VisionMap’s MIST camera through a competitive process to meet one of our U.S. government client’s requirements. The MIST camera offered Woolpert the best-value solution to meet those requirements and will also allow us to carry out the research and development services we are providing”, said Jeff Lovin, Woolpert senior vice president and director of geospatial services.

The MIST camera features extremely compact form factor, efficiency of SWaP and compatibility with multiple platforms and pod configurations. The system is small (one foot cubed); lightweight (10.3 kg); high resolution; and is a digital, vertically and oblique-looking photogrammetric payload certified for Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems (TUAS) or manned aircraft. Despite its size, the system captures a very large swath in very high resolution and with high accuracy. MIST simplifies and speeds reconnaissance, precision targeting and tactical mapping missions.
