Nottingham, U.K. – 3D Laser Mapping expanded its North American business with the appointment of a vice president of sales. Based out of the company’s regional headquarters in Denver, John Arnold will be responsible for the continued development and production of innovative laser scanning solutions including an accurate vehicle-based mobile mapping system called StreetMapper, the newly-launched hand held system ZEB1 and the company’s range of solutions for the mining sector.

“This is a strategic appointment for us and shows our commitment to this region,” says 3D Laser Mapping’s Managing Director Jon Chicken. “John brings with him a wealth of experience of mobile and terrestrial laser scanning systems and will be the force required to stimulate sales and interest across a wide range of industry sectors.”

Arnold joins 3D Laser Mapping from a professional survey company where he held the position of project manager. During this time, he was responsible for a number of transportation, architecture and historical preservation projects, and gained hands on experience with a variety of tools including 3D Laser Mapping’s StreetMapper system.

“I am really excited to be joining the 3D Laser Mapping team at this time,” adds Arnold. “StreetMapper continues to be the solution of choice for demanding transportation projects and ZEB1 is set to revolutionize the indoor and underground surveying markets. I can see it’s going to be a busy time!”

3D Laser Mapping is a global developer of laser scanning solutions for sectors such as mapping, mining and manufacturing. 3D Laser Mapping specializes in integrating laser scanning hardware with their own software and peripherals to create solutions.
