A group of owners, architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors and technologists with a common goal of excellence in building documentation recently formed the United States Institute of Building Documentation (USIBD), a non-profit organization. The group is dedicated to furthering excellence of building documentation by promoting, educating, guiding, and supporting stakeholders with an interest in the build environment in a way that cultivates a culture of networking and information sharing.
“Our vision is to be the leading resource for the building documentation industry,” said John Russo, AIA, a founding committee member who is serving as president. The group is currently composed of nine founding members representing a cross section of building industry professionals. USIBD will be adding to its membership later in the year.
