AeroMetric Hires Tilley To Expand Environmental & Local Government Markets

AeroMetric is pleased to announce the addition of Greg Tilley as a vice president of business development. Tilley will lead AeroMetric’s go-to-market efforts for environmental mapping and state and local government solutions. In this capacity Tilley will bring his considerable expertise to tailor AeroMetric’s geospatial solutions to better serve the needs of our clients nationwide.

Marvin Miller, AeroMetric’s senior vice president for business development said, “We are very fortunate to have Greg Tilley join our team. He has over twenty years of experience in the geospatial profession including a wealth of business development know-how, coupled with both operational and business management expertise. His extensive knowledge and background in our profession along with the esteem in which he is held nationwide, adds considerable strength to our firm.”

Tilley said, “AeroMetric is a company that I have long respected and admired, so it is with great pleasure and anticipation that I begin this new role. AeroMetric has a long history of providing geospatial solutions to environmental and state and local government organizations. My focus will be to help leverage that experience into expanded capabilities and solution offerings for these important markets.”

Tilley was a founding partner and president of VARGIS, where he lead the way in capturing and managing numerous multi-year, multi-million dollar client relationships, including state and regional mapping initiatives in Texas, New York, Virginia, California and Michigan. After the acquisition of VARGIS by Infotech Enterprises America, Tilley was appointed president and was directly responsible for sales and operations for the Network and Content Engineering (Geospatial) Division.

Prior to VARGIS and Infotech, Tilley was vice president of business development for Photo Science (now Fugro Earth Data) where he established an environmental services practice focused on wetland mapping. He also served as a section chief for the Maryland Water Resource Administration where he directed a team of enterprise GIS and mapping professionals in support of the State's wetlands regulations and enforcement policies. During this time he also managed Maryland’s first statewide digital orthophotography mapping project. Reach Tilley at gtilley@aerometric.com , or call him direct at 703-727-7997.
