Esri and ACSM are gearing up for the inaugural Survey Summit July 7-11 at the San Diego Convention Center. The event is designed to help attendees learn successful business strategies from other surveying and mapping professionals as well as gain a clearer understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by today’s cutting-edge technologies. Continuing education credits are offered for attending workshops and presentations, and numerous networking opportunities are available during the course of the event.

The Survey Summit will open with the NSPS golf classic on Thursday, July 7, and ACSM business meetings will be held during the event. Survey Summit sessions will cover topics such as GPS positioning, geodesy, emerging technology, datums, computations, data management and GIS, with a heavy emphasis on business practices and technology trends. (See below for a preliminary session agenda.) “Our content is the best it’s ever been,” said Donny Sosa, surveying industry specialist for Esri. “The Survey Summit will be valuable for anyone in the geospatial community involved in surveying, high-accuracy mapping, GIS or civil engineering.”

The event overlaps with the Esri International User Conference, which begins on Monday, July 11. For more information or to register, visit www.surveysummit.com.
