Microsoft’s UltraCam Group in Hall 7, booth number A61 will be showing the new UltraCam Eagle photogrammetric digital aerial camera system and providing guests with a sneak preview of coming features for UltraMap 3.0.

The new UltraCam Eagle builds on the award-winning UltraCam legacy and reputation to establish a new “ultra-large” format category for unprecedented efficiencies in aerial data acquisition. Some UltraCam Eagle quick facts: 

- Ultra-large PAN image footprint with more than 20,000 pixels across the flight strip. Fewer flight lines and less flight time necessary.

- New housing concept with everything integrated into a modular sensor head. Smaller physical footprint requires less aircraft space, quicker and easier installation

- The first photogrammetric camera to offer exchangeable lens system with 80mm (standard) and 210mm (tele for high altitude flights).

Meanwhile, Microsoft’s UltraMap photogrammetric workflow software is undergoing radical changes and Intergeo 2011 provides an opportunity to see the updates firsthand. These coming UltraMap capabilities are being used to process the aerial imagery seen on Microsoft Bing Maps and will soon be available to organizations.
