I have always performed a site calibration by setting my Trimble TSC2 collector to "no projection / no datum", then observing the points that I want to calibrate to with my Trimble 5700 reciever. After I have tied my points (at least 4 of them), I then use the calibration routine in the TSC2. This is the way I know how to do it, and I know it works.
