DigitalGeo, a startup Portuguese GIS distributor, has been selected to represent the Ashtech GIS product line in Portugal. “We have high expectations for the innovative newly formed DigitalGeo,” said Ashtech EMEA Sales Director, Jean-Marc Ferre. “They have been fast out of the gate, representing industry leaders ESRI, Digiterra Hungary, Laser Technology Inc. and now Ashtech.”
DigitalGeo is formed by four specialized technicians working collaboratively in four different but related areas: GIS software, GNSS and GPS receivers, ArcGIS Technology, and Agriculture and Forestry consultancy. “In our first year of business, our goal is to be one of the top two best-selling companies of GNSS handheld receivers for mobile mapping and GIS data collection in the Portuguese market,” said David Carvalho, manager and director of DigitalGeo.
DigitalGeo markets the Ashtech GIS product line, including the MobileMapper 6, MobileMapper CX and MobileMapper 100, which offers real time accuracy, from 5 meters to 1 centimeter depending on user need.
