Matrix New World Engineering, Inc., announced the opening of its latest office located in Mobile, Alabama.

According to Dennis Petrocelli, PG, Senior Vice President, “This expansion into Mobile, Alabama, along with our office in Goodyear, Arizona and our corporate headquarters in East Hanover, New Jersey, enables Matrix to meet the diverse needs of a large region of the United States.”

Matrix New World Engineering, Inc. (Matrix) is the largest and most respected woman-owned full-service engineering firm in the northeast. Last May, Matrix responded to the Gulf of Mexico as part of The Alliance to provide boom deployment strategy, permitting, wildlife capture operations, natural resource compliance, and waste auditing in response to what has become the largest oil spill in history. The Alliance is a spill response and natural resources damage (NRD) joint practice with the firms O’Brien & Gere and Versar.

The firm also had staff involved in claims settlement and lease negotiation in support of the response effort in Louisiana. Matrix still has 40 staff currently deployed in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida performing various tasks. The firm plans on continuing to grow their business in the Gulf region.

Matrix has a strong reputation for providing environmental an engineering services in the northeast, participating in major transportation and infrastructure projects including the Hudson Bergen Light Rail, Grand Central Terminal Rehabilitation, Permanent PATH WTC Design and Reconstruction, and Monitoring at Ground Zero and Lower Manhattan after September 11. The firm has also provided expert engineering consulting services to the US Army Corps of Engineers and the US Navy. In Arizona, Matrix is managing the Remediation, Operations and Maintenance of the North Superfund Site in Phoenix-Goodyear.
