Colortrac Limited, the British based manufacturer of SmartLF large format scanners, has been awarded an ISO 9001:2008 certificate, the world's most widely used standard for Business and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Colortrac implemented a Business Management System (BMS) that covers all aspects of UK operations including; HQ admin, sales & marketing, R&D, technical support and last, but not least, the manufacture and assembly quality of wide format monochrome and color document scanners and related PC software.
Adoption of the BMS procedures required to qualify for ISO 9001, has helped all departments in the company contribute to higher quality, increased customer satisfaction and growing sales. Following this strategy, the company achieved its highest ever unit sales and posted record profits in December 2009, demonstrating a healthy performance that bucks the tough conditions for business in many of its key markets.
ISO 9001:2008 replaces the year 2000 version of the ISO 9001 standard. In meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, Colortrac has demonstrated its ability to consistently provide a quality product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. In addition, Colortrac is required to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the business management system, including implementing processes for the continual improvement of the system.
BS EN ISO 9001:2008 certificate number UK001758-1 was issued to Colortrac Limited of St Ives, England, on 20th November 2009 by Bureau Veritas Certification, London. Bureau Veritas Certification certify that Colortrac's business and quality management system "has been assessed and found to be in accordance with the requirements of the standards."
