Haiti hydrogeologic maps, Military Capability Studies, water assessments and additional resources are available to Department of Defense (DoD), Federal agencies, and organizations that utilize Common Access Cards at cac.agc.army.mil/countries/Haiti.cfm. The Web page also provides contact information for the Embassy of Haiti to the U.S. and to the U.S.embassy in Port-au-Prince. Public access to the site is available at www.agc.army.mil/Haiti/index.html.
"The initial water resource data provided for the effort to date includes point-specific water resource data on the existing water facilities, surface and ground water resources, the Haiti Water Resources Assessment (WRA), a country scale surface and ground water strategic planning study, and hydrogeologic maps," said Tom Spillman, Hydrologic and Environmental Analysis branch chief.
The AGC's HAT has mapped the existing water facility, surface, and ground water resources of Haiti in response to previous requirements.
Numerous water well sites have been analyzed and military well logs have been collected and posted within the WRDB in support of previous DoD support missions.
The U.S. Army Geospatial Center coordinates, integrates, and synchronizes geospatial information requirements and standards across the Army, develops and fields geospatial enterprise-enabled systems and capabilities to the Army and Department of Defense, as well as provides direct geospatial support and products to Warfighters.
