DUBUQUE, Iowa – Eagle Point announced the introduction of Surveyors’ Toolbox, its third add-on product for AutoCAD Civil 3D. The Surveyor’s Toolbox allows surveyors to comfortably and productively move to AutoCAD Civil 3D with simplified COGO routines and user interface. Its integration within Civil 3D allows you to interact with native point, parcel, surface, alignment and profile data. Multiple routines (both dialog and command line based) are included to input raw alignment, lot and field traverse information directly into your drawings, bypassing the requirement of using an external survey database. Robust point placement routines are also available to quickly locate COGO points that can be uploaded to the field for staking.
“This product not only helps Eagle Point clients transition to Civil 3D more productively, but also provides a simpler COGO interface and command set for any surveyor making the switch to Civil 3D,0 explains Steve Biver, Civil Product Line Manager for Eagle Point. “As organizations continue to reap the benefits of the dynamic Civil 3D modeling capabilities for the design work, many have expressed interest in migrating their survey work to the same platform to eliminate the need to transfer between systems. This product offers those organizations the ability to streamline the survey workflow, both in entering survey data on the front end of a project as well as producing job files for stakeout on the back end.”
