First post here for me. I ran across some Section 6 math that I do not remember from college days, and cannot seem to find the direct answer in the manual. I have a property line adjustment going on in Government Lot 3 of section 6. We have found all 4 corners of the NW quarter of section 6. But how do I calculate the SW corner of said Government Lot 3? I have made a diagram of this exact section I am working in. All black numbers are directly of the original township plat and agree with the notes. The red numbers are ones that we have measured in the field. The blue numbers are ones that I have calculated from the 1973 Manual (as shown in Figure 46). The green numbers are ones that I am pretty sure of but somewhat question. And the green question marks are the position I need to fix. Anyone know the answer?Thanks from the new guy to the discussion board.
