I may have posted this before. But it's back.
I was contacted by an irate land owner that had purchased a tract we surveyed for the previous owner several years ago. He kept asking about a right of way that was deeded out. There wasn't one that we found. This is what happened (I think). After our survey, the county decided they needed r/w to pave an adjoining road. The original landowner supposedly signed it over to them. The deed was lost. So AFTER the new landowner purchases the property, they go to the original owner and get her to sign an affidavit saying she deeded them right of way. WTH? Will this hold up?
