FORT WORTH, Texas - Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the nations leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, is proud to announce that Halff board member and vice president J. Russell Killen, PE, CFM has been named manager of the Fort Worth, Texas office. Mr. Killen will be responsible for leading operations and expansion of the Fort Worth office through its civil engineering, water resources, transportation, land development, planning, environmental, and surveying services.

Mr. Killen succeeds T. Lynn Lovell, PE, CFM who will be focusing on business development and project oversight for the Fort Worth office.

Mr. Killen received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1983 and joined Halff Associates that same year. With more than 26 years of experience at Halff, Mr. Killen has served in the roles of project manager and principal-in-charge on a wide variety of engineering projects for the public and private sector. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Society of American Military Engineers, Texas Floodplain Management Association, and Texas Water Conservation Association. Mr. Killen is a Certified Floodplain Manager and a Licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois. He is a recognized national expert in his field and author of several technical papers and journal publications.

Mr. Killen is a life-long resident of the Fort Worth area and graduated from Southwest High School in 1979. He now makes his home in North Richland Hills with his wife Teresa and 3 children who attend Birdville High School. A civic minded person, Mr. Killen is an active adult leader in his church youth group at the Richland Hills Church of Christ and with the Boy Scouts of America.
