In October 2009, Allen Precision Equipment (APE) acquired the Spatial Systems division of Loyola Enterprises Inc., a leading distributor and service provider for Leica Geosystems measurement technology.

APE will now have direct coverage in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Washington DC, along with Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi, North and South Carolina and Indiana.
