The Central Chapter of the North Carolina Society of Surveyors will hold a “mock trial” continuing education seminar on June 1, 2012, at The Exchange in Asheboro, N.C. Led by professional land surveyor, attorney at law and POB columnist Jeffery N. Lucas, the seminar will consist of an actual land case in a courtroom setting, with each attendee actively involved in the trial. The trial will include the jury selection, testimony and actual verdict. “Jeffery has presented this mock trial in many venues, and it is both educational and entertaining,” said Jerry King, event organizer. “This seminar will not be your normal class setting, with many twists and turns in the testimony and the opportunity to be a part of the entire court process. It’s a unique class.”

The cost to attend is $125 and includes a barbeque lunch and snacks. A total of 7.5 professional development hours are being offered for this event.
