Topcon Partners with AFDS

LIVERMORE, Calif.– Topcon has partnered with Applied Field Data Systems (AFDS) in Houston to sell and support Topcon GIS solutions in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Since 1995, AFDS has specialized in supplying GPS/GIS mapping systems and services to the natural resource, utility, infrastructure, transportation, municipality and environmental services markets.

Dave Henderson, Topcon GIS sales manager, said, “We are very pleased to be able to partner with the highly-skilled technical staff at AFDS. We are confident that AFDS, with more than 50 years of combined experience providing complete solutions for data collection applications, will provide superior field-to-finish support to our end users in the area.”

Ashok Wadwani, president and CEO of AFDS, said, “We are very excited about this opportunity to bring Topcon mapping products to our current and future customer base. The Topcon products allow us to offer a cost effective mapping solution to our customers without compromising quality or functionality.”

Topcon GIS products with features such as integrated cameras, laser rangefinders, expandable memory, and accurate GPS data collection technology, “will help AFDS customers be on the ‘cutting edge’ by allowing them to get more detailed accurate data with less effort,” Wadwani said.

“The simplicity of the hardware and software options will keep any learning curve to a minimum,” he said.
