Imagine a tower which will stand 500' tall with a 550' diam base. It will be poured in 4'sections using a slip form type system. every pour has to be checked for elevation. Time is tight for shots. The suggestion was made (by a engineer!) that the shots should be recorded with GPS, and "it only takes a second or two for a shot right?" Time to vent your opinions boys.
